Calculating the output voltage of Rectifiers

Last updated 5 months ago

A rectifier converts an AC Signal into DC. AmTecs typically uses the halfwave rectifier in there brake motors.
Typically standard brake motors are availiable in two different voltage ranges

  • 230/400V have a 110v dc Brake and half wave rectifier (230v AC Supply).
  • 400/690V have a 186v dc Brake and half wave rectifier (400v AC Supply).

Below are details and a calculator for rectifiers.

Supply Voltage 230VAC Rectification ( X 0.45) Output Vlotage 104VDC

Supply Voltage 230VAC Rectification ( X 0.9) Output Vlotage 207VDC

Calculator:

Enter the supply voltage, select the rectifier type and the calculate the RMS output voltage.

VAC = VDC
