AmTecs offers a range of bearings for use with electric motor. Availiable in both an standard and insulated version. The Insulated bearings are specifically design for use with electric motors, with the added additional feature of an electrically insulating coating on the external surfaces of the outer ring. This insulation prevents electrical current passing through the beaings, protecting them against electrical erosion as well as grease degredation caused by EDM (Electric Current Discharge). All motors over 75kW, powered by frequency inverters, should have insulated bearings fitted.
